Buying used MPB, what year/makes to avoid?

I'm looking to buy a used Macbook Pro between 2009-2012 and am wanting to know what specific makes I should avoid more than others. I know it's quite general but is there any makes that have far less reported defects/problems than other models?

I had a mid 2010 MPB that had a bad logic board and I saw that early 2011s have been plagued with problems as well so I am being extra careful this time around when looking to buy used.

Any insight would help greatly!

Yes, a 15" 2010 model identifier 6.2 is a risky proposition.

My 2010 MBP that recently crapped out on me was a 13 inch.

Is there any models that would be a much safer bet than others? 2009-2012

The 15" 2010 was the only model that Apple had a logic board replacement program. I do not have any hard statistics to offer you that would give you some guidance. All the rest, as best I can tell, are on an individual case by case basis.
