Hey Reshaun, The other part to "Why"... You are not addressing Apple here, we are users, like your self and don't know any more than you do, about possible release dates-- if there ever is one. You could always go to "Contact Us" and leave a message in "Feedback". You most likely will not get a reply, but someone from Apple will read it and add it to there information and research. Cheers.

Hey Reshaun, I don't know why Apple does what it does. Delaying or killing the iPod 6 makes no sense to me either. As the saying goes, "If it makes no sense... Follow the money." That's all I know, Cheers.

New to this forum and I just purchased a new IPOD touch Gen 6, set up was pretty easy, just waiting to see if my game from my old Gen 4 will download to my new IPOD. When I purchased this IPOD it stated it was the latest one available for purchase.

No one knows that yet. We will have to wait for Apple to announce the release of the new iPod Touch. So far, they have not said anything yet.
