Oct 21, 2014 1:23 PM in response to lllaassby Darman1234567890,"sudo killall coreaudiod" fixes it for me until the next wake from sleep. drives me crazy to see the sound bezel showing changes, while playing the same volume levels (as well as that youtube video that's crazy loud w/o my volume keys working right!) =/

Oct 22, 2014 2:46 AM in response to lllaassby BrianGraham91,Resetting the SMC and PRAM did not solve my problem, however this did manage to solve my problem across reboots and sleep:
1. Command + Space / Open Spotlight.
2. Search for "Audio MIDI Setup".
3. Select your sound system.
4. Change the format to something else, then change it back.
At this point it should fix the volume level and allow you to change it. I have only done this once, and it has worked since I made this topic.
Let me know if it helps.

Oct 24, 2014 4:08 PM in response to BrianGraham91by Darman1234567890,Would just like to confirm Brian's above suggestion of flipping the setting. After multiple sleeps, issue no longer presents.
