Oct 20, 2014 1:42 PM in response to raymondfromweymouthby Firedoug,I am having same troubles with Kodak 6150 AIO printer. I have the latest software which 7.7 and everything communicates perfect.... ink level, paper, level all the tools work.... even the scanner scans and saves.
But when ever a job is sent to the printer it starts to print then I get an on screen printer driver error message that says: "Printing - An unexpected error occurred. Check for problems at the printer and resubmit the job (100305)"
This message displays and the printer sits and churns like it is printing then spits out a blank page.
????

Oct 20, 2014 2:16 PM in response to Firedougby raymondfromweymouth,That's what happens to mine as well. I have even tried to print with it plugged directly into the computer and it still comes up with the problem. Im thinking of going for a hp printer as apple supports them.

Oct 20, 2014 2:53 PM in response to raymondfromweymouthby mckee0412,I contacted KODAK support today here was their response:
"As I see that Kodak Home Center Software is not compatible with Max X os 10.10 Version. However our research team is working on this issue. Very soon you may get an update on this."

Oct 20, 2014 3:10 PM in response to mckee0412by Laurence Kranich,Thank you! That's the kind of news I was hoping to hear. I was afraid that Kodak had abandoned their printer customers entirely.

Oct 21, 2014 3:32 PM in response to mckee0412by eiji04,...I had a similar conversation with Kodak, after finally getting to chat to them. Funny enough they have suddenly become very busy and hard to contact! So yes it's in development, no time frames though. Hope it isn't too long!

Oct 21, 2014 11:16 PM in response to eiji04by KAS1966,★HelpfulI've just got this from Kodak (I'm not at home at the moment so haven't tried it yet):
From the description provided it appears that Yosemite is the latest version on Mac which is 10.10.
Our latest software is compatible up to MAC OS X 10.9.x, MAC OS X 10.8.x, MAC OS X 10.7.x, MACINTOSH OS X v10.6.x, MACINTOSH OS X v10.5.x
Note: Our research and Development team is working on latest version.
However, please follow below steps on your computer to install the software.
1. Download Kodak AiO software version 7.6 from the following web link:
http://download.kodak.com/digital/software/inkjet/mac/KODAK_AiO_Printer_v7_6.dmg
2. Uninstall the previous installed Home center software drivers.
3. Install the Kodak AiO software ver 7.6.
NOTE: Skip the “Check for the software updates”.
4. Check in the “Printers and Scanners” of the system preference, if the printer is listed okay.
5. Try Printing

Oct 22, 2014 5:46 AM in response to KAS1966by barolo55,Unfortunately the described procedure (use AiO software 7.6 instead of the latest 7.7) does not help. Problem remains the same...

Oct 22, 2014 10:44 AM in response to barolo55by eiji04,Tried rolling back to 6_2 but still the same issue. Kodak really don't seem to have got a grasp of OS X ...Public beta was out for several months let alone the dev version, and yet they still can't provide a driver that works!

Oct 22, 2014 10:52 AM in response to barolo55by KAS1966,Unfortunately you're right.
Just tried it and its made no difference whatsoever
I've e-mailed Kodak and reported this......

Oct 23, 2014 3:20 AM in response to raymondfromweymouthby londonguy99,Guys, I spent 5 hours talking with Apple about this, and they told me that there isn't a driver and that I can't reload back to Maverick, when my Kodak printer was working properly! In order to get back to Maverick, I have to totally reboot my pc, and will lose the 4 years of info I have, as the back up is so long ago! I also spent two 3 hour sessions with Kodak, loading, reloading, uninstalling their drivers, trying different drivers, etc, but none worked for my printer. Despite several posts to Apple from me....and clearly loads from others too, Apple seem indifferent to their users, simply telling me that its Kodaks fault, that its for Kodak to provide the printer driver solution. Thanks for just shrugging your shoulders Apple, and not ensuring that your Users, I may add!) are served properly by you....before pushing out an update, just to try and impress the market. Im the mall to, and Im NOT IMPRESSED, either at your attitude or that I can't just simply uninstall Yosemite and go back to Maverick, which allowed me to actually print!! Im now faced with buying another printer (why should I spend more money simply to overcome Apples attitude and lack of interest in its consumers) or change my operating system to Windows, which may be the better and cheaper and longterm solution anyway! If you think this is just a long tirade, it is.....and its ENTIRELY due to Apple's indifferent attitude!!

Oct 23, 2014 3:24 AM in response to londonguy99by londonguy99,oh, and Kodak told me that it may be 6 months before a driver is released for Yosemite OS 10.10! I entirely blame Apple for not thinking of their USERS and CONSUMERS and PURCHASERS first!!
-
Oct 23, 2014 3:42 AM in response to londonguy99by KAS1966,To be honest I think it is more Kodak's fault than Apple's - although whatever it's infuriating for the customer.
Having read your post about the potential 6 month's wait I've just this second come off the phone to Kodak. The lady I spoke to there said an update should be issued 'soon' and when I pressed her on precisely what that meant she said it although they haven't had a date confirmed it definately wouldn't be months. So watch this space I guess........

Oct 23, 2014 4:42 AM in response to KAS1966by londonguy99,Im not sure I necessarily agree, as unless Kodak are mindreaders who know what is in Apple's minds or Apple have given Kodak warning of what is going to be required from Kodak to ensure Yosemite is printer compatible, then I believe it is Apple's ego that is at fault. Plus, why was it that previous OX updates didn't affect printers, unless Apple had previously ensured that their updates would not adversely affect its customers. I don't recall having to wait for drivers to be written by Kodak in order for my mac to continue printing, but I stand corrected if others noted that previously they had to wait for their printers to have drivers written, a long period subsequent to an Apple update?

Oct 23, 2014 6:23 AM in response to londonguy99by Gary Scotland,It is Kodak who own the technology, create and update drivers for Kodak printers not Apple.
Since the release of Mavericks, Apple provide the ability for all manufacturers to distribute drivers through Software Update feature.
Most OS updates have required new printer drivers be created to allow compatibility with new technology, I had to wait a few months for HP printer driver to be updated after Mavericks release and I am now waiting on Epson to release a Yosemite driver for a wide format inkjet printer.
Printer drivers are one item, scanner drivers, external interface boxes, also have to be updated, again by the manufacturer, not Apple.
