The following page appears:
Why can't I print after I upgrade to MAC OS 10.10 (Yosemite)?
Do the following steps to address the issue:
- 1. Go to Spotlight (top bar - click on 2nd icon from right), type in the word Terminal and press Enter.
The terminal window/program opens.
- 2. Enter sudo sh -c 'echo "Sandboxing Relaxed" >> /etc/cups/cups-files.conf' in the terminal.
- 3. Enter your system OS login password when prompted.
Note: The password you enter will not appear, which is normal. Be sure to enter the correct password.
- 4. Enter sudo launchctl stop org.cups.cupsd
Your screen will look similar to the following:

Dec 4, 2014 4:35 PM in response to londonguy99by aaronchuck,Why are you bashing Apple for this?? They have nothing to do with it. Kodak stopped updating the driver in 2012.
Apple "We have decided not to upgrade to a new operating system because Kodak has stopped updating drivers for a consumer grade printer, because they no longer make consumer printers. Sorry guys." -

Feb 4, 2015 8:08 AM in response to Gemmacby dwegowy,Yes, this is the catch. Cannot seem to send print job to ESP 7250 top tray, nor will it accept 4x6 photo paper from bottom tray.

Apr 7, 2015 11:39 AM in response to JohanHarryby Katsolo,Thank you for this solution. I just tried it after giving up hope (and printing) the past few months and it did work. This is a great little printer for pictures and I was dismayed that I was going to have to give up on it.

Oct 15, 2015 1:57 PM in response to JohanHarryby Folden,Thank you! I've been working on figuring out how to get my Kodak 5300 to work for days. This did the trick! Much appreciated.
Side note: I have upgraded to OS X El Capitan (10.11) and this worked for me. -
Dec 30, 2015 8:10 AM in response to barolo55by SparkyzFan,Thanks barolo55! This worked for me. This fix is also on the Kodak web site but I could not find it before. barolo55's post here is better though because it also has instructions on how to reverse it. FYI my problem was caused by switching to El Capitan and the fix has worked fine for me so far. I always get a stomach ache whenever I have to mess with terminal....

Update: My Kodak printer died so Switching to Epson XP-830 it would not print either but gave different error. I tried to revers sandboxing relaxed as per Barlow55 instructions and got an error while in terminal. Long story short I found other "reversals" on the internet and the last line should be
sudo launchctl stop org.cups.cupsd
I got no error when I did this. closed out terminal and reset my mac. For whatever reason Epson window popped up telling me there was an update so I went ahead and installed that update. Printer could not be found after that. I uninstalled both epson and epson 2 (fax) and reinstalled epson and it worked.
