He probably means bing as non changeable search engine in spotlight. I dont think you can change that, i turned it off however.
Bing is pure garbage outside of the USA.

Thank you, Werner. I already did that & it reverted to original Spotlight search.
Go to the System/Spotlight preference pane and uncheck the Bing Web Searches checkbox under Search Results.
