Does Keynote have a format painter?

I try not to compare keynote to PowerPoint. They are 2 different tools in my mind.

However, PPT has a great tool called Format Painter. You can click on one object to pick up its attributes then click on the target object to make them look alike.

Does Keynote have anything like that?

No. That's not the answer - with all due kind respect :-)

In the interest of clarity, if you look at the reply from three months ago, you will find you have just copied the suggestion posted then.

It's probably also somewhere in the Format menu.

If you go to the menu; that would be:

Format > Copy Style

Format > Paste Style

The real answer, if you want a format paint function like PowerPoint in Keynote, is:
Copy
Style ( ⌥ ⌘ C ) and Paste Style ( ⌥ ⌘ V )

It's probably also somewhere in the Format menu.

I haven't tried it for Word / Pages or for Excel / Numbers but I suspect it will be exactly the same.

If you want to copy formatting from one location, object, shape or text and apply it to another - that's how you do it.

Enjoy,

Peter
