I try not to compare keynote to PowerPoint. They are 2 different tools in my mind.
However, PPT has a great tool called Format Painter. You can click on one object to pick up its attributes then click on the target object to make them look alike.
Does Keynote have anything like that?

The real answer, if you want a format paint function like PowerPoint in Keynote, is:
Copy Style ( ⌥ ⌘ C ) and Paste Style ( ⌥ ⌘ V )
It's probably also somewhere in the Format menu.
I haven't tried it for Word / Pages or for Excel / Numbers but I suspect it will be exactly the same.
If you want to copy formatting from one location, object, shape or text and apply it to another - that's how you do it.

Yes, to copy and paste the attributes of an object onto another object use the copy and the paste style tool as posted in October 2014:
Format > Copy Style (option command C)
Format > Paste Style (option command V)
