Oct 19, 2014 9:57 AM in response to hsmoliarby FoxFifth,I don't understand your question. You cannot turn on two-step verification for a specific device such as your Mac. It is turned on or off for an Apple ID.
Also, if you are asking about trusted devices (where the code can be sent), note that the Mac cannot be a trusted device -- i.e., cannot receive the verification code. The code can only be sent 1) by sms text message to any device capable of receiving sms texts and 2) by Find My iPhone/iPad/iPod to an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch.

Oct 19, 2014 7:01 PM in response to FoxFifthby hsmoliar,I am talking about the the screen on my iPhone 5s running 8.02:
iCloud/Apple ID/Password & Security/Two-Step Verification is marked as OFF
And when I check at appleid.apple.com it says that Two-Step Verification is ON.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

Oct 20, 2014 7:11 AM in response to hsmoliarby FoxFifth,OK now I understand. I didn't even know that you could see an indication of two-step being on or off by going there on the iPhone. Just checked mine and it does show as on. I would wait and see if it shows as on after your upgrade to 8.1 (to be released today) -- I'm thinking that logging in again on the phone as part of the upgrade may correct the display.
