Can you post the section of the /var/logs/cups/error_log in Console that shows the filter failure, please? It's probable that a fix needs to come from Oki, possibly for Apple's increased sandbox restrictions. Does the log above mention sandbox? Thank you.
Thanks for your reply. Something like this? The connection with the printer is good, I can see the supply levels.

Yes, thank you, that was what I meant.
(/Library/Printers/OKIDATA/Filters/OKIHC004.plugin/Contents/MacOS/OKIHC004) stopped with status 1.
shows the Oki filter crashing for some reason, and there may be more info on this in the "All Messages" section of Console. Depending on Oki's error reporting, there may also be a separate entry for this under System or User Diagnostic Reports.
I don't have this printer, so I am not sure if this will help, but you could try removing the OKIHC004.plugin from /Library/Printers/OKIDATA/Filters/ (without throwing it away) and see if that helps. You may get an error message that the software isn't installed correctly, in which case you can copy it back. If it doesn't complain, you may have limited functionality but still be able to print.
Does this happen with every print job? All file types? And thank you again.
I think you are looking in the wrong folder. There are different Library folders.
If you use Terminal and paste "open /Library/Printers" (without the quotes), or Finder's Go->Go to Folder… and paste in /Library/Printers, you should see the OKIDATA folder. I hope this helps and that it works.
Yes, exactly.
Ok, what us my next step?
Does it print after you have removed that plugin and restarted?
Thanks for your reply. I removed the plugin and restarted. No luck so far. I am going to call OKI, maybe they can help.
Sorry to hear that. I hoped that it would work.
Thank you for your extensive support! Today I had contact with OKI support, biu they only had 'empty' solutions. I will show up when there is a solution.
My pleasure. I hope they update their drivers. Not a good solution for now, but getting an AirPrint printer will remove the reliance on driver manufacturers:
I have the same problem and I tried a few options, but nothing seems to work, only USB conection works.
Oki official response is that tcp drivers are under consideration for Yosemite, and only usb is available at this moment.
well, it seems that the only option is patience

I am running Windows under Parallels and I can access my Oki C5150n printer. My workaround is to save to a PDF file and print using a free PDF Win app. Hopefully Oki will get their act together and release a proper Yosemite driver sooner rather than later. I would consider changing to an AirPrint printer but still have a lot of toner cartridges to consume.
