Q: I cannot add a family member to my app account in iTunes

I am unable to add a family member to my iTunes and app store account.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

    Hey Somerpol,

     

     

    Thanks for the question. I understand that you are unable to add a family member to your iTunes account. I also see that your tags include OS X 10.7.5 as your operating system. To use Family Sharing, you’ll want to update to OS X Yosemite:

     

    Family Sharing requires a personal Apple ID signed in to iCloud and iTunes. Music, movies, TV shows, and books can be downloaded on up to 10 devices per account, five of which can be computers. iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite are required to set up or join a Family Sharing group and are recommended for full functionality.

    I Cannot download Yosemite through the App Store as it will not down load even though I have a Mac book pro bought in mid 2009
