Nov 20, 2014 5:17 PM in response to Foodiesueby LoRob,You may find that downloading the free 'EasyFind' from DEVONtechnologies will help you find things. I use it all the time to find invisible items. Just check the box 'Include invisible files and folders' in the sidebar. If you still find Aperture is slow to load, you might also delete the Aperture Library cache. If you use EasyFind to search for 'com.Apple.Aperture', it will find both the plist and the library cache. You shouldn't have to trash the app and reinstall. Remember to reboot after deleting these files. Also when you go to open Aperture the first time, instead of double-clicking the Aperture icon, go to your Pictures folder, select your photo library and right click it to select "Open in..." and select Aperture. It should open with your library open. You'll need to reset some prefs. Hope that helps.
