iCloud drive is not meant be an external drive, but for syncing your Macs. It will ensure, all devices are having the same content.

Here's what you can do with iCloud Drive:

- Keep files and folders up to date across all your devices
- Create new files and folders from iCloud-enabled apps
- Work on the same file across multiple apps

Oct 19, 2014 2:27 PM in response to léonieby MacNewbie.Texas,I have read the FAQ. It says store any file in the Cloud about 15 times...It doesn't say store on your hard drive and cloud.
