Recently upgraded to iTunes 12 and can no longer enter multi-line text in the comments field of a song tag. Used to use option+return (alt+enter) to go to a new line (carriage return). Can it still be done? Any help in this regard would be appreciated.
iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5), iTunes 12.0.1.26
Select a song/ movie/ whatever, then hold Option + Right-Click on the file, then select Get Info in the contextual menu. This brings up the older style Get Info dialog box and you can then enter multi-line text in the comments field.

Perfect!!! Thanks. In fact, as I have discovered since reading your reply, you don't have to hold down the Option key when you right click, only when you click on Get Info. Nonetheless this was the info I needed. Thanks again.

A Right click is the same as Option left click (from when Macs only used one button).
I can't get this to work. I get the same Get Info dialog whether I use the Option key or not. Option-Return does nothing, and in fact I can't edit the Comments field at all if it already contains multiline text.
I have iTunes 12.1.0.50 .
Yup, doesn't work anymore. I HATE the new interface. Can't even copy text from TextEdit and paste - iTunes rejects it.

Are you right clicking Get Info?
Using iTunes 12.1.2.27, it doesn't matter WHAT I click. There seems to be no more comments field in Get Info. Holding command down at any point changes nothing. Are others seeing something different? Screen shot of what you see?
You can, in fact still input multi-line text. Sometimes it will reject copying and pasting from another song's comments field or TextEdit. In that case type it or paste it in the problem song's Lyrics field first, then cut from the Lyrics field into the comments field. Should work, and Apple Should really allow multi-line edits again. How hard would that be to re-allow the old feature.
