Q: White Screen After upgraded to Yosemite twice each time I had to restore with Time machine on my IMac

I tried to upgrade to Yosemite on my IMac running maverick and twice I ended up with a white screen. I had to restore previous version with Time Machine.

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

White screen on startup?

Startup - Gray, Blue or White screen at boot, w/spinner/progress bar
