hi , i lost my ipad4 with iOS 7.04, this's ipad for my mom, so i didnt let "Passcode ", and i forgot to turn on" Find My Ipad" ! He knows my phonenumber, and tried 2 trick me to get password from Apple ID still being logged in this device (when i changed new passwords 4 all entire accounts apple, gmail, yh, fb, twitter....), he said he could restore it! Is it real? could he restore my Ipad without my apple id , icloud?

If you did not turn on Settings > iCloud > Find My with your Apple ID and password, then YES someone can simply restore the device and use it. However, the process of restoring will erase all content and settings since to do so means using the recovery mode to attach the iPad to a computer running iTunes.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but that is correct...without Find My turned ON, it is a simple matter to restore to factory condition and setup the iPad as a new device. The recovery mode erases all content and settings, which means all of your account information, but the device can then be used like it came out of the box.

That is what I am saying.
Be sure to have an iCloud account (it is free so no excuse 😉) and turn on iCloud > Find My on all iDevices and if you have a Mac computer, you can turn it on there, also. Find My and iCloud is the only way to track/locate stolen or lost items, but there are limitation - Find My has to be activated, and the device has to be powered on and connected to the internet or it will not show up in iCloud.
If all of those conditions are met, login to the iCloud account, click Find My Phone, and then click the device that has been lost or stolen. Its location should then appear on a map.

i still have a question, i can turn on "Find My .." by settings -> icloud -> find my , is it the only one way? can i turn on "find my" remotely? by the other devices?
