Lost my Notes within Calendar Events
After installing Yosemite, all of the notes within my Calendar events are gone. The individual calendars and all the past and future events are there, just not the notes that I've typed in. They're gone from my Calendar application, gone from my phone, and gone from iCloud web site. Gone, gone, gone. I have a repeating event named "Daily Notes 2014" that repeats each day for the entire year, and I enter text each day in the notes field as a poor-man's journal. Many years of data wiped out. Strangely, some random events did retain their notes, and it's "only" the daily journal entries that are affected. So it may have something to do with it being a repeating event, where individual instances get split off when they are altered and you save for "only this occurrence".
I do have a clone backup of my hard drive made just before I updated to Yosemite, so I know that I can export and restore Calendar info. BUT: As a test I entered some fresh text into one of those daily entries last night, and this morning that text has also disappeared. So what good will it do to restore everything if it just evaporates within a day?
Any suggestions?
