communication error on epson printer

I have been using my epson photo printer R1800 fine and after upgrade to OS X Yosemite. Keep appearing communication error and won't print anything.

communication error’ with OSX Yosemite & Stylus C68 : Turn off the printer. Disconnect the power cord and the USB cable. On the computer ( I-Mac ) open System Preference, open ‘Printer & Scanner’. On the list on the left click on ( hi-lite ) the printer, delete ( - ) the printer from the list. Close up System Preference. Restart the computer. Connect power cord and USB cable. Turn on printer and try printing. This corrected the print error for me.
