Oct 22, 2014 11:01 AM in response to Loner Tby JC K9,Well Loner T...we have made progress with EasyBCD but took a step back on mac side. I ran the repair utility from the easyBCD bootup disk and it fixed rebuilt and identified errors on startup. It stated it fixed everything and after two restarts I am writing you from my bootcamp side. Wohooo! but unfortunatly when I hold the option key to boot in mac I have no option for my Macintosh HD disk. I only have EFI boot disk and Windows disk. I feel like the partition was messed up by easyBCD. Can I fix this? I am running a mid year 2009 Macbook pro
Thank you so much for all your help through this painful journey. It has been a great learning expierence and Im greatful for your help

Can you post the output of the 4 commands that we use?

Oct 22, 2014 11:50 AM in response to JC K9by Loner T,If you have a 16GB USB stick, can you Command+Opt+R to put a minimal Yosemite on it to boot from so we can see the GPT/MBR?
What happens if you use Command+R during glower up?

Oct 22, 2014 12:25 PM in response to JC K9by Loner T,What does Command+Opt+R do? It should start with the spinning globe? Do you have a second Mac?

Oct 22, 2014 12:39 PM in response to Loner Tby JC K9,Does nothing. I do have another machine. Is my best bet loading on external media and booting from that? My other machine has 10.9 on it. I refuse to upgrade that one till this issue is fixed. I also need gdisk to be installed as well. go through the same GPT/hybrid rebuild we went through before?
Thanks so much

Oct 22, 2014 12:41 PM in response to JC K9by Loner T,On the Mac that is not working, power cycle and hold the T key, do you see a Firewire icon? If yes, can you connect this mac with the FW icon via FW or a FW-to-TB cable and adapter to the working machine. You should be able to see the "bad" Mac as a hard disk and look at the GPT/MBR.

Oct 23, 2014 6:04 AM in response to JC K9by MacBelly-jr,Hey guys,
I noticed I had the same problems because I got some error messages pertaining to NTFS-3G I had installed in combination with OS X Fuse (which I did not have installed any more some how). I use NTFS-3G to read NTFS formatted disks in my Mac, and Fuse is needed to extend OS X’s native file handling capabilities via third-party file systems (literally copied that from them ). After I installed Fuse I could see the Boot Camp disk logo on my Finder Desktop, was able to boot up Windows 7 through VMWare Fusion and through a normal Boot Camp restart (holding down the option key).
So for me this worked, maybe worth a shot for some of you. Good luck everyone!

Oct 23, 2014 6:14 AM in response to MacBelly-jrby Loner T,Thanks, MacBelly-jr, can you post what your current disk layout looks like? You can use a separate thread, if you like, and post a reference back here. I have a compilation of threads Bootcamp and Yosemite upgrade - potential data loss warning.
This bootcamp not working after yosemite install had disk corruption and a bad BCD and missing NTFS header while Bootcamp Problems after Yosemite Update had both problems and was using Tuxera. There are variations to the same theme which become specific to an instance.
