Q: safari iOS 8.1 freeze and slow

Hello,

i have same problems with ios 8.1 with my Ipad3. when the Google search shows me the results, the blue links does not respond when I  tap. Safari was as if frozen. I have to drag the page up or down so that the link becomes active again. Further the application is very slow. Today I tried iPad Air it was same thing !!!!

the problem persists since updating iOS8.0.0. I am very disappointed with Apple.

excuse me for my english, I am french.

If you want the attention of the community of users ... here on this forum ... you won't get it when your issue is buried inside a long thread. You'll need to post just your issue ALONE and open a new thread on it. THEN you'll get a lot more attention ...

    Post it here ...

    Using iPad

Let let me know what thread it is and we'll get some attention for it.

This is a "users helping other users" forum in which one user posts a problem and another user provides a solution to that problem. If that doesn't happen, that's the "end of the story" for this forum, as that's the only purpose for this forum. There is not an additional purpose of discussing Apple, discussing surveys elsewhere, discussing business practices, discussing software decisions, or speculating on the "whys and wherefors" of a situation, or even "telling Apple" something.

If you don't find a solution here, your "official stop" should be Apple Support ...

I agree though with your statement that was removed. You are 100% correct in your judgement.

It's too bad that it's you and only a few other "ZERO-POINT posters" who are the only ones who think that ... :-) ...

No help will be found on this or any other forum. I took traveler advice. Shut down  iPad. Put in the  drawer with other junk. Pulled out the forgotten tab 2. That's  my upgrade  for now. Browsing the Web  just  great.

jjust to note...the dictionary reset didn't solve the problem, but it did reduce the number of occurrences. I still suggest trying it though, as it has made using the tablet much more tolerable for me

I didn't read it, but I bet $100 that ST responded to my advice with an inflammatory remark while giving himself a pat on the back and telling everyone how wise he is. if his post doesn't continue to prove inflamtory and unhelpful, I'll eat my hat. How much more proof do people need? Ignore him. Its the best way to deal with serial pests.

IIs anyone also having mail problems? I tap delete then nothing, not even a click. I tap repeatedly, still nothing. 10 seconds later a flurry of clicks and a bunch of emails get deleted. Same on my ipad4, iphone5 and brand new iPad mini.

I Think you just have to be a little patient, as it takes a while for the gizmo to complete the task, especially with multiple emails. I have noticed the same thing when deleting photos.

EDi was deleting only one email but several get deleted in error as there is a huge delay executing taps. There is no click to indicate command recognised.

I Did not have this issue with ios7. As well as described safari issues other apps seem to go to sleep for several seconds. Same on all my 8.1 devices.

Can there be any person who can say that Apple treats customers as valuable persons ?

Way how IPAD 2 users are treated, served and issues solved shows clearly how they just care of new purchases. All crashes, slowness, WLAN issues, battery consumption, extremely bad user experience with slow and jamming UI etc... Anyway this is over now with me as I'm moving out from IPAD / IOS due this experience. Ride was a good but now its over as trust is totally destroyed by Apple.

I asume that my account will be cleared and community hates me but are we ready to accept this performance from one of world leading brands ?

I'm waiting to see if the reported version iOS 8.1.1 fixes these absurd Safari problems when it finally comes out. While I've found some workarounds (like closing all other tabs before doing entry into a paragraph box, such as this one), there is no way we should have to come up with such gimmicks. Using iOS devices (and I've got 5 of them in our household) is no longer a pleasant experience. It's going to be adios Apple if 8.1.1 doesn't return the fast, smooth, bug-free experience we have come to expect.
