Nov 16, 2014 6:41 AM in response to Star Travelerby virtualgeo,WELL ... with countless users coming back to me and thanking me for a solution that worked for them ... I would say that's about all anyone needs to know ... :-) ...
No it's not "about all anyone needs to know." Even assuming that your assertion is in fact accurate, if all your advice...carefully followed, and perhaps repeated multiple times by these users...STILL didn't correct all the problems created on their devices by iOS8, then all your blather is totally irrelevant. They still have a device which doesn't work as well as it previously did under iOS 7.
Be content that SOME users found SOME of your advice useful (for which you do deserve credit). Stop being so officious and smug with those users who are still experiencing problems despite following your entire catalog of advice.

When someone one says there is no solution and you should wait and do nothing ... then "THAT" is all you need to know ... :-) ...
Even assuming that your assertion is in fact accurate ...
It's accurate as these points only come from other users who have implemented these things and found them successful.

Any one individual user does not know ahead of time IF a particular solution offered is going to succeed. They ONLY know by doing it. AND ... this is specifically a forum for users to give other users solutions for their problem that they can implement themselves. There is NO OTHER REASON for coming to this forum.

In fact, that's another GREAT TECHNICAL SOLUTION to the current problems with your iPad:
1) Wait for 8.1.1 and save your time and the stress this software product is causing us all. Anyone would think Apple's programmers worked for Facebook!
2) Use a paper book, you don't need to back it up and it doesn't crash
3) Who needs Safari, get outside and see the world with your own eyes, its amazing
4) Speak to people, don't email, no points needed

Can we all stop with the petty bickering and stay with the problems at hand? (Leslie - this wasn't aimed at you in particular - you just happened to have the nearest REPLY button)

Nov 16, 2014 4:34 PM in response to momolorientby SBosze,Wow, tough crowd. I'm glad I didn't suggest trashing the iPad and getting a Surface. To my earlier point, we've all paid a premium for this device and the software doesn't work. And Apple isn't admitting to the problem as evidenced by several phone calls to support. They refuse to acknowledge others are having this problem. As a company, why host a community support blog if you don't monitor it and respond to your customer's issues. Or let us know a fix is in progress? My time is priceless and ill spent doing QA for Apple!
