Nov 18, 2014 11:46 PM in response to momolorientby arnie98683,Unfortunately, today's 8.1.1 software upgrade did nothing to fix the iPad many issues. I give up on Apple! My iPad 4, just two years old, has become a piece of useless junk.

Nov 20, 2014 6:05 AM in response to noremacniaiby nshadomy,I Am just downright mad that Apple ruined my Ipad with IOS 8. I too have done everything to fix it. Sorry Apple you lost a fan with this one.My $ doesnt grow on trees and I am not about to spend $ I don't have on a new Ipad.i think you should own up and and Fix the problem. I loved my IPad now I feel as frustrated with it as do with my Dell. I had such faith in Apple, but now I just feel like they have left me hanging ing with a product that was working great with one that is just a source of frustration... I saved my hard earned $ to buy this and did nothing but rave about it and Apple . it really is morally wrong for them to break something and then not FIX the problem.....Very Disgruntled Grandma !

Nov 20, 2014 7:23 AM in response to margaretfromfranktownby Robert Martin 1,Facebook is the problem. Delete it. Reboot. run it for a few minutes. Things get better. Repeat. Facebook is the culprit. Use Facebook on Safari until they get it fixed - if they do...

Nov 20, 2014 7:47 AM in response to Robert Martin 1by noremacniai,Hi nshadomy,
I think your frustration speaks for us all - It certainly does mine!
A personal perspective -
All products have a lifecycle - I think the vast majority of us, albeit grudgingly, accept that to be a truism. But in this technological age it does seem to me that these lifecycles are continually shrinking, almost to the point of non-existence!
Where I think these technology companies are making a mistake, and doing their customers a disservice, is in assuming that we all are happy to jump onto this merry-go-round of continual software and hardware upgrades.
This error of judgement is then compounded by the fact that no due warning is ever given by these companies that the latest whiz-bang software update may very well catastrophically impact on the performance of your particular hardware.
This is compounded yet again by the fact that, even if you missed the warning, they offer a very limited window of opportunity to revert to a previous version of software of your choosing.
All of this is particularly applicable to Apple given they engineer both the hardware and software, so really have no excuse not to be able to make amends!
Or am I just being naive?

Nov 20, 2014 8:14 AM in response to noremacniaiby Robert Martin 1,I was just making a suggestion as I know Facebook App is a culprit. I am running a Mini with 8.1.1 and it's just about all better. I can't solve everyone's issues, but I figured I'd reiterate to someone who stated the Facebook issue, in particular, that removing it might be a possible solution, based on experience with both my Mini and my wife's. Hey, it is always worth a shot if it might help.

Nov 21, 2014 5:49 PM in response to Sandra McCantsby Marathonianbull,LAst iOS update 8.1.1 has made both my iPhone5 & iPad4 - not slow - SUPERS L O W!! !
SO laggy (animations), that I have no other choice than to turn ON "REDUCE(d) MOTION" in ACCESSIBILITY.
THIS YEAR, i hate Apple's nightmarish forced-evolution towards the iStore...

Nov 22, 2014 5:12 AM in response to momolorientby mariesinger,Apple have released an upgrade that has messed up my enjoyment of the ipad...it is slow, unresponsive, it take ages to respond. I am very unimpressed with Apple.....they have launched this delayed response via this upgrade. Not very professional. Upgrades are meant to enhance, not delay.
