Q: Apple Pay not showing on my Canadian iPhone 6 - I live in the U.S

Hey folks,

 

I am a U.S citizen currently working here in Canada for a few months. I got my iPhone 6 here in Canada but I use my U.S apple ID and ICloud ID. Phone still doesn't show the feature after I upgraded to the iOS 8.1.

 

Does it mean I need to have an US iPhone or be in the US to get the US upgrade? or both lol

 

please let me know and how to fix it.

    Thanks for the question. After reviewing your post, it sounds like you want to start using ApplePay but you dont see it available. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you resolve or isolate the issue.

     

    Set up and use Apple Pay

    You can start using Apple Pay as soon as you add a credit or debit card to Passbook. Here's what you need to get started:

    • iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus (Apple Pay in stores and within apps)
    • iPad Air 2 or iPad mini 3 (Apple Pay within apps)
    • iOS 8.1 or later
    • United States as your selected region
    • Touch ID or passcode on your device
    • iCloud account
    • Supported card from a participating bank

    To set up Apple Pay on iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus, open Passbook and follow the steps below. On iPad Air 2 or iPad mini 3, go to Settings > Passbook & Apple Pay and follow the steps below.

    I have a similar problem, but in my case my phone's language is Russian. Other than that everything is matching the list you posted. This is a US iPhone, and US is the selected region.  Does the phone language matter for ApplePay?

     

    When i open Passbook I only see the old passbook options to scan barcode. Nothing about credit cards.

    hi

    im behnam from united Arab Emirates -i buy my iphone 6 from uae apple Store

     

    inside a passbook is showing just scan bar code and setup credit card option is not Available

    i have a apple ID  and credit card is Linked to my Account

    inside a Icloud Also passbook option is Active

    please Help Us to Find a Problem

    region on my apple ID is : United Arab Emirates

    update your iphone to ios 8.1   then go setting, then general  ,then language &region  ,change the region to united states,the restart your  iphone6 or 6 plus  ,then go setting you will see the sign blew the itunes &app store  ,,good luck guys  ,that is i did same way and i worked


    then press home bottom & turf off bottom for 10 second and your phone its will be reboot

    after turn on is coming setting look like new setup phone / then connect to your wireless and go ahead / then is showing credit card p apple pay option

    done.

    my Problem is Solved.
