Dolby surround sound for my headset?

I have a Plantronics Gamecom 780 headset that I used to use on my Windows, but since I prefer my Mac, I would like to know if there is any way to output 7.1 or at least 5.1 audio to the headset, since the software that came with it does not work on Mac. I've already tried Google but did't find anything, just a software called "SteelSeries Engine 3", but that only works for the SteelSeries headphones.

These are my specs:

Plug in the headset on the Mac. Then open Applications->Utilities->Audio Midi Setup.

It should show up on the left panel there. Select it and see if the multichannel options

are available.

If the headphones follow the USB Audio standard, the options for multichannel sound

should show up there with out a need for a driver.

BTW, you will need to select the headphones as the audio out device in System Preferences.
