Sep 21, 2015 8:39 AM in response to nsparnellby jgowrie,I purchased a brand new MBP 13" with 16GB ram. One of the final straws was slowdowns when viewing floor plans in PDF format. Imagine how ****** I am that I am still experiencing these same "beach-ball" moments every time I try to zoom or scroll through a PDF file.. some as small as 1MB. We are now at 10.5.5 and Apple doesn't even seem to have made any acknowledgment of this issue. Look around and you can find multiple threads about this and everyone that owns a mac is in agreement that PDF's are plagued with problems on a Mac running Yosemite..
I've submitted feedback but it's obvious at this point Apple won't do a thing about this problem for Yosemite users.

Jul 25, 2016 1:52 PM in response to mwille64by ctadams10462,I still have this issue. I went from Mountain lion with everything working perfectly to Yosemite really taxing the computer and having to run twice the ram at16gb for decent results. Preview though is still broken. I can't open more than one or two images at a time and even that can get the pinwheel of death..further updates have not fixed the problem either. I Loved preview as part of my photography work flow. now its worthless.
