JBL On Time: How do I set the volume of the alarms?

How can I set the volume of the alarms with JBL On Time? Every day, when the alarm goes off, it is very loud (it's the same whether I use the radio or the IPod as source). It doesn't seem to use the last setting and when setting the alarm I can't find how to lower the volume. Thanks

i have the same problem. i don't know how to solve it, but i did find a few work arounds to get somewhat of the same effect ... kinda ...

1. on your ipod, turn on the sound check. this lowers the volume of every song by a little. not the greatest thing in the world to use, but it takes the edge off in the morning.

2. the JBL always play the first song on your ipod, when you set it for an alarm source ipod. so if you go into your itunes library, and take a song you want it to play in the morning, simply by putting a "." in front of the artists name (or 2 if you have band's with a . already as the first character in their artist name) the ipod will play that song. also, while you are picking that song to be played, an apple "i" in itunes on that song will give you the slider bar for how many + or - db you want. lower it to the right vol. it is a pain, but for a long term wake up song, might be worth it.

Yep I to have this problem. I guess everybody who has the On Time has this problem. Problem is not everybody seems to min these drawbacks.

But the least a IPOD ALARMCLOCK should be able to operate an Ipod,.. Or did we mis something?

Anywho,.... does anybody know if JBL or APPLE even made some low priority issue out of it?

If so, maybe we could (or should) make them move it up on the priority list.

The jbl does not seem to have any output jack..it has an input jack working fine.
but you can use the headphone jack on your ipod while it is connected to the jbl ( i think it works even with the jbl off).
BUT (another one)
really does not worth to spennd all this money to wake up with some music you like.
First of all as you can see by the posts jbl on time does not work as a wake up device for your ipod (see also thread http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=3147175#3147175)
Secon you can buy for a few euros(about 30 in italy) radios with an USB port and you wake up with your music on whatsoever usb key. (it looks even nice..kind of an old style radio).
To speak direct i do not suggest to buy a JBL ontime. I know it is sad to say this on this forum but it has a lot of problems.
