Since updating to Yosemite every time I access a page in Safari with a Youtube link, I get a dialog box with a message like "There is no application set to open the URL msvtdh://https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5IWK9sRYTs". How do I get rid of these messages?

I had the same problem and I have suggested a solution that works: you could try going to the top menu and select clear history; then go to preferences and disable extensions and see how it goes
Go to this Adobe page, http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/, and check to see what version of Flash Player you have installed.
Then if needed go to this page Player Download Center and download and run the installer. Even it appears that you have the latest version download and reinstall it again. Then repair disk permissions with Disk Utility.
