Q: Why does Yosemite cause my cd drive to be unrecognized on my MacPro?
I just installed Yosemite.
I then went to burn a CD of some music, but the drive eject button didn't cause the disc tray to open.
Then I went to "about this mac" and looked up "disc burning" and my computer said "no disc burning device found"
I have a 2009 Mac Pro, and I still burn CD on a regular basis.
Thankfully my MacBook Pro can still burn CD's even though it has Yosemite, so it must be a MacPro compatibility issue.
Can anybody help me?
Mac Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10)

Is it the DVD drive that came with the Mac?
Have you checked/reseated the connections on the drive?
