Is there a way to stream family shared iTunes music rather than downloading it?

This post Family sharing - Stream movies to idevice instead of downloading? indicates that movies also can't be streamed/. So in general, content purchased by another family member can be downloaded, but isn't available for streaming. This, plus no shared iTunes Match, really makes Family Sharing inconvenient..

I found a way to do such. If the videos and music are in the library of a computer (mac), you can stream them with your apple device (i.e., iPhone) using an app called Air Playit, which is downloadable for free from the Apps Store. This app works seamlessly with my iPhone 5s. It looks like apple has disabled the home sharing feature on the latest iOS. Air Playit solved my problem.
