May 15, 2015 8:00 AM in response to oneZer01by Jayctina,My follow up after visiting the Apple Genius Bar for solution: The scheduled appointment was 8:20 p.m. I got there early, they sat me immediately. A few minutes later I went over the issue with their tech. They said it was likely that the motor went out on the camera and they were going to switch it out (they had no explanation as to the why the motor would go out). If that didn't work, they were going to give me a new phone (all under warranty). at 8:45 p.m. they handed me back my phone with a new camera installed. Everything is working great. Hopefully this wont repeat, but for now I couldn't be happier. Thank you Apple

May 26, 2015 4:10 AM in response to oneZer01by J719,Same issue.... iPhone 6 plus purchased in India.
Used it for 4 months and the camera stopped focussing.
I tried to do a software reset and also a restore, but the camera status was unchanged.
I have given it to the iCare store for repair. The rep I spoke to was completely unaware that such a problem has been reported on these forums.
Lets see how they take care of it in India....

Jun 7, 2015 9:33 PM in response to oneZer01by Kane4LSU,I too have this problem. It was working fine and then all of a sudden, blurry photos and camera won't focus at all! What's sad is, my front camera takes better, less blurry pictures than my super high def ka-billion megapixel rear camera! I read that people were having this problem after updating to 8.1.3 but I'm still on 8.1 and am dealing with this problem. I like 3.5 hours away from an Apple Store so I'm kind of screwed. I'm just going to suck it up and take it to the local repair shop and pay the 100$ to replace it. It's so infuriating though. Apple really has let me down a lot lately. My wifi drops every 3 minutes on Yosemite and now I can't take a decent picture on my 700$ iPhone. What's next Apple? Leading innovation by selling faulty items.

Jun 9, 2015 7:38 AM in response to Kane4LSUby Kane4LSU,Edit: Letting everyone know, mine is a 64GB White iPhone 6 Plus and I took it with me to a music festival here about a month ago. I didn't think about the severe vibrations causing any issues but that is exactly when my camera started not auto-focusing. I guess I was jumping around too much during the concerts. The only problem is, I run a lot and don't want to keep having to get my camera replaced.

Jul 4, 2015 10:28 AM in response to CajunSniperby Kane4LSU,There is no other solution. It is a hardware problem with the camera itself. I took mine to a local shop here in town and they fixed it for free. Got it back the next day and it's been working fine ever since. I'm sure it's just a matter of time until it breaks again though.

Jul 9, 2015 12:11 AM in response to oneZer01by nedved11,After I searched the solution online, I found a way that worked for some users and worked for me too.
1) Flick your phone with your finger near the lens
or 2) tap the phone lightly
or 3) drop your phone on your bed
the thing is, for some users the problem is solved forever, for some users including me, the problem came back. fk apple
