Dec 22, 2014 11:42 PM in response to keshavfrompuneby Lawbonds,I upgraded from an Samsung S4 to iPhone 6 Plus, I don't like to run iTunes, and iCloud backup is not so reliable, I think. Then I searched on the Internet, and some articles told me that I can directly transfer data from Phone to iPhone with some tools.
I doubt it first, then I gave a shot on one of them for the free trial. I follow the steps to transfer about 20 photos from my S4 to 6 Plus, and it works!

Dec 23, 2014 6:29 PM in response to keshavfrompuneby Buschrora,More often than not, your Android will have contacts spread across multiple accounts (including local "phone" account) that are not backed up by Google contacts. You may also have multiple gmail accounts connected. The best way to sync contacts to your iPhone without any losing information is to use InTouchApp. Just install on both phones & login - done! It is the easiest way to keep hopping phones without ever losing your contacts. It is available on all stores or intouchapp.com.

May 11, 2015 11:46 PM in response to keshavfrompuneby Langeraaang,Samsung has introduced a utility called Smart Switch that enables users to transfer data from Samsung to an iPhone device. Unfortunately, it supports only few devices like Galaxy S4. Not to worry there are program's like mobitrans phone transfer to transfer data from android to iPhone and vice versa. You can use it to transfer almost everything including SMS and contact list from your android to any iPhone device. Jul 6, 2015 6:12 AM in response to keshavfrompuneby belfastrunner,1. Open the Contacts app on the Android
2. Tap on the Menu button and then tap "Import/Export
3. Tap "Export to USB storage or "Export to SD card"
4. The contacts are now exported to a single VCF file on the Android's phone storage. Retrieve the file by connecting the phone to your PC and copy/pasting the contact file to a folder on your computer
5. Download copytrans contacts from the following page: http://www.copytrans.net/copytranscontacts.php
6. Run the program and connect your iPhone 6
7. Drag and drop the VCF file containing your Android contacts to the main program window
The Android contacts are imported to your iPhone 6.

Aug 1, 2015 7:37 PM in response to keshavfrompuneby cionescu,★HelpfulHi,
Here are the following steps that I used to transfer my contacts from my android phone to my iPhone 5S:
1. Go to contact and export your address book to the android device
2. Connect your phone to your computer and copy the .vcf file on it
3. Create a new e-mail and send the e-mail to the address that it is configured on your iPhone device
4. Attach the .vcf file and send the e-mail
5. Go to your iPhone and look for that e-mail
6. Once you found it, open the attachment and upload the contact to your address book
That is all.
This should probably work for any iPhones that can recognize a .vcf file.

Sep 17, 2015 9:03 PM in response to keshavfrompuneby CarrieWestmore,Personally, I like to use Gmail account to do that. If you have an Android already, you probably also have a Google account—or a Gmail account, now the same thing—which will make this quite simple. If you don't have a Gmail account, create one: you'll need it to get the most out of your Android anyway. Once that is set up, go to "Settings" on your old Android phone, then "Accounts," and select "Google." This will give you a list of items to sync, including your calendar and Drive documents. Select "Contacts" and anything else you would like to transfer. Check "Sync Now," and your data will be saved in Google's servers. And you can log in your Google account on your iPhone to transfer contacts from Android to iPhone 6.
