Spotlight Suggestions not working on iOS 8.1

same for me. just updated to iOS 8.1 on my iphone 5s. now i can enable the feature in the settings, but when i swipe down the home screen it just says "search iphone" instead of "spotlight search". the funny fun is that it once worked for just a couple of seconds. i'm from switzerland, where this feature should be available as well. region is set correctly and i have the gps on for the suggestions.

SAme here. I'm also from switzerland. On my iPad mini wifi works these feature just fine. But on my iPhone 6 it doesn't. It can be enable now but it won't show me any suggestion.

Before ios 8.1 worked also on the iPad.

I couldn't find the spotlight either, but discovered that now you have to swipe down on the home screen. Don't swipe down from the top of the device but instead on the actual screen. This then pulled up the spotlight feature. I hope this helps.

Hi, well I've had no luck,I'm glad I've read that I'm not the only one, (I was scared it was my phone), anyway I've tried your solution and nothing, the only thing that helps me is a reboot, and that takes so fricken long.

Any other suggestions, please let me know.

Exactly the same situation; unable to use the spotlight search after the update. It works for a while when the phone is rebooted, but the feature does not function after a while.

Was anyone able to solve it? have iphone 5S

iPad 4 Retina here, IOS 8.1.2 search appears, I can write something, but nothing happens!
