After installing Yosemite on my Mac Mini the SD Card Reader cant read any of my sd cards. Please HELP!

I'm having the same issue, SD cards no longer appear since installing Yosemite on my mid-2009 macbook pro. I tried PRAM and SMC reset and it made no difference. FWIW, the SD card reader is recognized in system profiler, but inserting multiple cards they do not mount and do not appear in disk utility
Tried both of those resets and nothing! The SD card won't even show up at all.
Anything else I can try?
Try a safe boot and see if the SD card shows up. If it does then do a normal boot. A safe boot can clear out some bad files which may fix the issue.
