final cut pro stalls on restoring window layout

Hey all

Having installed Yosemite my Final Cut Pro will not open. It stalls during the boot up phase saying "restoring window layout".

I have tried removing the Layouts folder from the Library as detailed here Final Cut Pro X: May stop responding at "Restoring the window layout" or open to a gray window but it does not work.

Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Did you try:

1) Start the application holding down command and option and delete the preferences

2) Start holding down the command key and choosing a specific library, or a new library.
