Nov 19, 2014 1:41 PM in response to vtonangiby The hatter,From http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/
Nvidia CUDA 6.5.25 for Mac OS X (10.10.x to 10.8.x) that hopefully solves the "CUDA Update required" issue with v6.5.18 when using Nvidia Graphics drivers for OS X Yosemite.
Update/FYI: The first post on this update in a previous thread on the CUDA problem (2009 MacPro w/Quadro 4000 card running OS X 10.10.1) said he's still seeing the "CUDA Update Required" message after installing both the 6.5.25 CUDA update and 343.01.02f01 graphics driver update.
(I wonder if a safe boot/reinstall from the D/Ls would matter.)
Nvidia's 343.01.02f01 Mac driver update for OS X 10.10.1 (14B25). -

Nov 19, 2014 4:07 PM in response to martinmitchby y34rz3r0,CUDA 6.5.25 seems to be created before 10.10.1 is out.
It supports 343.01.01 web driver, not 343.01.02.
Edit info.plist and reboot.

Dec 4, 2014 6:10 PM in response to ansolasby 8ball011,I too have the same problem with the Cuda. Getting the same message in the System Preference pane. Update required. Cuda driver version 6.5.25
The problem doesn't stop there. When running Safari the text in the browser jitters and flashes. So have to use Firefox. I am also now getting a warning message from the OS saying graphic memory error do you want to report. This is new. Also when working in Premier Pro CC sometimes crashes due to graphic error message. *** is going on! Hope Apple, or NIVIDA get to the bottom of this soon. Really liking running Yosemite.
All these troubles started when I upgraded to Yosemite a week ago, no problems in Mavericks.
- Running OSX 10.10.01
-Cuda Driver 6.5.25
NIVIDIA Web Driver: 343.01.02f01
-12 Core Mac Pro (Mid 2010)
-16 GB DDR3 Memory
-(2) NVIDIA Quadro 4000 cards.
FYI, running (2) monitors a small cheap NEC, and Apple LED Cinema Display. What makes this interesting is when I move a Finder Window or Safari over to the cheap NEC monitor no graphic problems.

Dec 5, 2014 12:57 AM in response to ansolasby y34rz3r0,The Message is gone, but CUDA isnt working properly:
Open Terminal and run these commands.
cp /Library/Frameworks/CUDA.framework/Versions/A/Libraries/libcuda_343.01.01_class ic.dylib /Library/Frameworks/CUDA.framework/Versions/A/Libraries/libcuda_343.01.02_class ic.dylib
cp /Library/Frameworks/CUDA.framework/Versions/A/Libraries/libcuda_343.01.01_mercu ry.dylib /Library/Frameworks/CUDA.framework/Versions/A/Libraries/libcuda_343.01.02_mercu ry.dylib
Then reboot and run CUDA-Z.
It should work fine.

Dec 5, 2014 9:23 AM in response to y34rz3r0by 8ball011,In doing more research of this problem, it turns out we are not alone. Found several threads on Creative Cow with these problems. All seem to point to Yosemite and CUDA not liking each other. I also found a link on youtube that shows you if CUDA is working on your Mac. After running the terminal command it turns out I am running CUDA even though CUDA Z says not found. Check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbrIHT3i-c8
Also have found after running my system more than (4) hours the graphics on the screen go haywire. This happens with any App. or window open. See attached screen shot to see my problem.

Dec 5, 2014 9:58 AM in response to vtonangiby mikenaulls,Nvidia is terrible with having an update driver each time a new version of OS X is released. It's like they had no idea Apple would release a new version and weren't prepared for it.
Sometimes it takes a month or so before they release a new driver and often by that time, Apple has released or is just about to release a point update (10.10.1 for example, versus 10.10) which breaks the driver again. But usually the wait isn't as long for a new driver after a point update.
I think this has happened to me twice now on my 2009 Mac Pro and each time it is very frustrating. Nvidia knows a new OS X is coming out months in advance, they should be prepared.
The only solution is to wait for an update.

Dec 6, 2014 2:03 AM in response to y34rz3r0by RivieraDude,@y34rz3r0 --> Thanks, that does the trick nicely, even for 2 gtx 980's (with Maxwell). And yes...the reboot is required.

Dec 18, 2014 2:25 AM in response to y34rz3r0by Visual Brother,That gives me this response:
usage: cp [-R [-H | -L | -P]] [-fi | -n] [-apvX] source_file target_file
cp [-R [-H | -L | -P]] [-fi | -n] [-apvX] source_file ... target_directory
Having weird issues with PP CC 2014 so hope this wil be resolved asap.

Dec 18, 2014 9:35 AM in response to Visual Brotherby y34rz3r0,When I did copy & paste the commands, somehow, there were spaces at the end of commands.
Like these... I don't know why.
"libcuda_343.01.02_class ic.dylib"
"libcuda_343.01.02_mercu ry.dylib"
Remove spaces and try again.

Dec 18, 2014 9:56 AM in response to y34rz3r0by Visual Brother,No more errors but it didn't help with the out of date notice, funny enough after the restart I got a notice a new webdriver was available: 343.01.02f03. but it did not solve the error either

Forgot to write.
6.5.33 is available via CUDA Software Update.
There's a new CUDA 6.5.32 at NVIDA site.
I checked info.plist and it has the support for 343.01.02 and there's libcuda_343.01.02_mercury.dylib in CUDA.framework.
However, libcuda_343.01.02_mercury.dylib is version 6.5.25. libcuda_343.01.02_mercury.dylib from CUDA Software Update is version 6.5.33.
I'm not sure what's the different between them.
