iPhone stuck on the red iTunes logo while installing iOS 8.1 update

I was trying to update my iPhone to the latest iOS update and it asked me to connect to iTunes, When I connected to iTunes and it started downloading the update, the iPhone stuck on the red iTunes logo and it won't turn off or on ! I tried to press on the sleep\wake up button but it didn't work, I tried to press and hold both power and home buttons it didn't work also! I tried to connect it to iTunes with holding the home button it didn't work too!
How do I fix this issue?! It is still stuck on the red logo of the iTunes!

I had the same problem. I plugged my iphone5 into my iMac. I opened iTunes on my iMac. I had to use the restart button which indicated that use of this button would erase everything from my phone. So I took the chance. Everything was erased and it started to install the iOS8.1 update. It took 10 hours to do this but everything from the last save was downloaded. My phone works perfectly now.

Have you tried some apps to solve this red iTunes logo problem, that is, stuck on recovery mode screen? Manually press home and power button is not reliable to fix recovery mode screen. I used a tool called ReiBoot on my iPhone 5 iOS 7.1 update stuck on recovery mode and it worked perfectly. Have a try if you still stuck!
