Hi,
After upgrade to Yosemite I can't install my Canon Selphy CP900 printer.
I simply wanted to print over WiFi network.
Any Ideas
Thanks in advance!

Hi there,
your package does not work with a Canon Selphy CP 600, unfortunately. Is there any chance that you enlarge your package? Or have I done something wrong while downloading your package?
You are a life saviour, you saved me from installing windows on my mac. Thank you!
You da real MVP Christian!!
Works on our Selphy 770. Can I have some of your brain cells please? Thank you so much!
what am i doing wrong here.... I downloaded your patch and nothing.......
Thank you for the driver. Works well with my CP-770.
Just to let people know:
Canon has released Version 6.5 of their driver which installs natively on Yosemite. Unfortunately, at least in my case, adding the printer via WLA doesn't work because the Selphy printer (CP900 in my case) is not being found. I reckon V6.5 is the same driver as V6.4 with a modified OS version check, and because V6.4 was a USB driver only (for the CP1000 which doesn't have WLAN any longer) V6.5 is also USB-only.
Canon of course doesn't tell that anywhere, but it would be perfectly in line with them intenionally crippling and obliterating hardware by using stupid version checks in their drivers.
Where can I get the 6.5 driver. I have looked on canons site.

Where did you look? It's everywhere available for download, at least on the German site. Look e.g. here: http://www.canon.de/support/consumer_products/products/printers/compact_photo/cd __cp_series/selphy_cp910.aspx?type=drive…
Christian, you are an absolute rock star. Many thanks.
And I agree with previous comments: shame on Canon. It's not exactly going to make me want to buy another Canon printer.
I am trying to install Christian's Yosemite driver but just keep getting the message "SELPHY CP series Printer driver can't be installed on this disk. A newer version of the driver is already installed."
Can anyone help please?! I have deleted everything canon selphy related that I can find, including within Library and System, but it still won't install 😢
Hello Ceo77,
Didi you have the same install for the Selphy CP600 for Yosemite OS (10.10.5) ?
Sorry for my english i'm french. 😉
Thank you.
Jack
There ist already an official driver available for YOSEMITE
That's true and already the case at least since July, as posted by me above.
Unfortunately, that driver only works via USB but not Wifi (because it was originally made for the Selhpy CP1000 which no longer includes Wifi). That's totally frustrating if you're sharing the printer among two computers and neither is in proximity of the printer.
Regardless, in a week from now the fun starts again when El Capitain will be released and Canon will block the driver installation until some new Selhpy model will be released along with a new driver which may eventually work with El Cap. But probably support black and white only or some other typical Canon stupidity.
Thanks Christian,
after trying with a newer version of Gutenberg print and getting the CP780 to work with the Vista driver on Windows 8.1 (which also did not work..), I stumbled upon your solution.
Works perfect right from the start. Thanks!
Version information: OS X 10.10.5 + Gutenberg print 5.2.10
Do you know whether it will work with 10.11...?
