com.apple.outlook.client.exe

I upgraded iTunes to 12.01.26 and now whenever I navigate to an iTunes function, e.g., the Apps icon, I would consistently get a pop-up window with the error message "com.apple.Outlook.client.exe" stopped working.

Why is this happening? Is there a bug with the latest release of iTunes?

Hi sclny,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

I understand that these types of iTunes alerts can be very frustrating. The com.apple.Outlook.client.exe is a process that syncs the device with Outlook (see link below).

iTunes for Windows: Background processes installed on Windows XP, Vista, and 7

What I would suggest in this situation would be to remove iTunes and its components from your computer in the correct order and install it fresh from the Apple website. Please use the following article for instructions on how to uninstall iTunes.

Remove and reinstall iTunes and related software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
