Q: Audio Distorted On Mac Mini Phone Calls?

I am using a Mac Mini Late 2012 with the iphone 6 plus.  I can make and receive phone calls with the Mac but the audio is very distorted.  On the other end my voice sounds like it is in slow motion, on my end the other persons voice sounds like it is in fast forward. Any ideas for a remedy would be appreciated. Thanks!

Doesn't work for me, I'm using a Sabrent USB external sound adapter on my iMac (to easily switch between built-in and headset).  The device shows in the audio midi setup but doesn't really have any options that are relevant; output sound is already set to 441000.0 hz....

    Thanks....  Mostly.

Adjusting in Audio MIDI Setup works until the machine is restarted, after which the C615 settings revert back to 16000.

Am I missing a mouse click or something to get the setting to "stick", or is this a USB discovery issue on startup?

I attempted to work with Logitech support, which was a mistake.  I'm sad to say that the call was a waste of time and energy.  I also worked with Apple support, which was certainly NOT a mistake.  Even though it did not result in a positive resolution, it did eliminate the Mac as the problem.

I ended up replacing the C615 with a C920 at the store where I purchased the C615.  The C920 holds its settings without a hitch and works as it should.  It started off with a usable setting; didn't have to adjust it.  Like the Mac it's attached to, it just works.

Clearly there was a problem with the C615, most likely a USB discovery issue.  Messed up DEV_ID or other device identification issue?  Don't know, don't care.  Problem is now resolved.

Worked for me! As stated before, launch the "Audio Midi Setup" app, find your usb device, then change the Format setting to 32 or 48 [kHz].
