Q: Updated to IOS 8.1 & cannot recover ipad

So updated to IOS 8.1 today, Ipad2.

Now when turned on screen requests I connect to itunes. Once I do this it tried to recover, but come up with 4005 error after quite a while extracting software. Someone must have a simple solution to this. All my itunes on my pc is the latest upto date & I'm connecting via an apple cable.

Have you tried a different cable, USB port on the computer, and tried a different computer ? If you get the same error code on a different computer then iOS: Restore errors 4005, 4013, and 4014 :

If you continue to see error 4005, 4013, or 4014 when you restore your device, contact Apple for support.
