Hey guys, I need some help.
My iphone 4 keeps crashing after a few minutes and then restart but sometimes it restarts into recovery mode (or gets stuck at the apple logo) and I have to use something like recboot to get it out without erasing everything.
so does anyone know anything i can do to resolve this?

What model iPhone do you have? You say iPhone 4 and iOS 8.1, but the iPhone 4 can only go as high as iOS 7.1.2. If you have an iPhone 4s with iOS 8.1, and a reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears does not clear the glitches you are having, make a backup in iTunes of your iPhone. Then restore to factory condition, you may need to use the recovery mode to attach to iTunes (described in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 and summarized below) and then restore the backup to the iPhone.
