Mac Mini audio through receiver with HDTV monitor?

What's the best way to connect a mac mini through a video receiver to an HDTV? Currently I have the HDMI going from the Mac straight to the TV, but audio is coming from the TV only, not its attached receiver's 7.1 speaker system.

Mini, Mac OS X (10.5.1)

You only need one HDMI input on the TV which should be connected to the HDMI out on your Onkyo receiver. Plug your Mac into an available HDMI input on your receiver. I assume HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 or being used for Blu Ray player and dish so you should be plugged into HDMI 3. Now set your Onkyo receiver to HDMI 3 and your TV to whatever HDMI port you plugged into and you should be good to go.
