How to restore iPod Touch?

I have a iPod Touch that I recently reset, and now when I open it all I see is a picture of iTunes and the word "iTunes" on the top, and a picture of the charger on the bottom. I tried charging it and connecting it to PCs and Macs with iTunes, but I cannot detect the device in my PCs and Macs or fix the problem. I also tried restarting it. I don't want to repair it, any suggestions?

Try DFU mode and then restore

How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings

- Try another cable

- Try on another computer

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
