Note the issue varies from 2 - 6 apps depending upon user/machine on the linked thread

Oct 22, 2014 7:05 PM in response to gliddenby bodyxs,Same happened to me, MAS (Mac AppStore) it's very buggy lately, Also show Apple Remote Desktop as an update, but it's already updated. There's a big post around this too. Afeter Yosemite new release some software/apps must be resigned by devs. In some cases where the apps were installed out of the MAS, and later updated through Sofware Update, start to show this bug.
Quit and / or sign out and re check from MAS. Other thing you can do, once they appear under purchases, is to re donwload them directly from the MAS (have a Time Machine backup just in case).
