Q: I purchased the Desolation of Smaug Extended Version. I can not find the Extra/making of content. How do i find and download it. The movie downloaded fine. I just cant find the additional videos.

Cant location additional content for my Desolation of Smaug purchase. Video downloaded fine.

    If the Extras were included with the film in your country's store then you should be able to stream them on your computer's iTunes or on an iOS device : Buy and play movies with iTunes Extras.

    I bought the HD version of the movie too...all for the extras, which I can't access for some reason.  Nothing seems to work.

    What country are you in ? The extras are not available in all countries stores.

    Hong Kong - and I'm sure iTunes extras works here, because its been advertising all over the HK iTunes store page.  I have the most recently updated versions of both iTunes on computer and Apple TV.  Still scratching my head on this.

    All I can see in the Hong Kong store is that the film is the extended version (i.e. has an extra 25 minutes added to the film), I don't see any mention of iTunes Extra (the film doesn't have the blue iTunes Extras icon next to it)

    Now they are saying that only movies purchased before July 10, 2014, can you download the Extras content. ***?

    And i only found this after searching the web for the last 3 hours.

    So if you want to watch the extras, you have to have an internet connection and stream it.

    What about if i don't have an WIFI connection and want to watch on a plane or a car ride. What is the point of buying a movie to enjoy if you can only do that based on a wifi connection.

    No where on the films page, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (Extended Edition), does it say extra content is only streamable. It only says "This HD purchase "INCLUDES" online access to iTunes Extras" - It does not say limited to. This is very misleading.

    I would not have bought the film if i had know that. In fact, the only reason i bought this was for the extras because the other Hobbit and LOTR movie extended editions have been so awesome on the making of the film.....

    This is bogus. I want my money back so i can buy the Blu Ray. At least then i can take it and watch whenever i like... not just when i am connected to WIFI.
