Depend on the resolution of the pictures from one 1 to 128000000

The iOS storage cannot be directly correlated to a number of photos of a certain size. The storage space is also consumed by the index for the images, and the thumbnails that are stored. So dividing 128 GB by a photo size will give the wrong answer...you have not accounted for the volume of the other material that has to be stored also. This issue has been around since the iPad 1 came out and users could not understand why they were out of storage with images that did not add up to the storage limit.
