Lost Apple ID

My friend bought an IPhone 5 when he was abroad. He updated the IOS version from 7 to 8 then he asked for Apple ID that he cant remember ID or email. So he cant use the phone because it is locked . Now he needs new ID or reset the ID. He called local Apple service in Turkey but they did not help because they asked for invoice which he dont have . We need your help , he can not use phone . If you do not help use he has to junk it. Serial Number of the Device : DN*****TWF IMEI : ********

For info we are fellow users here on these forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple - I've asked the hosts to remove the serial and IMEI numbers from your post.

He will only be able to reactivate the phone using the id that it's currently locked to (if the phone is on the activation screen then does it not show the first letter of the email address and the email provider's name ?), creating a new account will not work.

If he can't remember his id then does he have any of the account's downloads in his computer's iTunes library : Recovering a forgotten iTunes Store account name ?

If not then he could see if he can find his account id via the 'find your apple id' button on http://appleid.apple.com : Apple ID: How to find your Apple ID.
