Iphone 6 plus screen has vertices lines

my iPhone 6 plus has not been dropped, had a case on it since day one. I noticed that it has lines on the right side of the screen going verticle. I'm able to get them to go away if I screen shot the phone but the picture won't show them. After I noticed this I also noticed that the part of the screen where the lines are stops working until I was able to find a way to make a phone call. Can anyone help!

also I noticed that since the new update I am almost always on 3G when I used to be primarily on 4g lte. Any ideas?

THanks for for the help.

I have had this issue.it is a factory defect.no apple will not refund you or replace your phone for free.best you can hope for is paying 160 dollars for a refurbished one that will eventually crash and burn in the same fashion.i have had iPhones since the first gen and I'm truly extremely disappointed in the way apple handled this malfunction.this will be my third paid for defective iphone.im sitting in the Apple Store again about to pay again for the same problem.i guess ill pay this 160 dollars for the same problem put it on craigslist and maybe move to a android I heard they are decent now days.

Take it to an Apple store or return it to the place you purchased it.

The fact that the lines only show on the screen & not in screenshots viewed on other devices suggests that the display is faulty. It should still be under warranty, so take it to Apple.

Hopefully the original poster has already done this, simply waiting for help here is misguided - it looks a lot like the hardware has failed or is damaged. Apple may repair or replace it but only if you contact them.

Good luck

Ok Apple Community, I have the same problem! On my iPhone 6 plus 128GB, there are fourteen absolutely straight, light white double vertical lines going down the right side of the screen. It occurred right after the 9.2 software update. The phone has never been dropped and has a cover on it. It is functioning fine, but the lines appear on all screens and Apps. The camera is functioning normally. When I take a picture there are no lines on the picture. I've turned the phone off and on again. I held the lock and home screen button for soft reset and no change in the appearance of the lines. I'm not sure if this is a hardware problem and the screen needs to be replaced or a software problem and I need to do a factory reset. Any ideas? Thanks.

Take it to an Apple store or contact the place where you purchased it, if it is a hardware issue it might still be in warranty depending on when you purchased it. You can find that out by backing up in iTunes or iCloud & then erase the device to factory settings (and it installs a clean copy of OS). An Apple store may do that if you take it to them - it is a very basic test - have a full backup before you visit a store.

Check for the lines before you restore your data.

Good luck getting them do anything! Took ours in for same issue and were told "tough luck" it's damaged display (under the screen) and the screen was not broke and phone never dropped. Extremely dissapointed in Apples lack of coverage in warranty items.

If that is the case take it up with your local consumer protection agency/ legal advice or simply try being persistent with Apple.

There are often rights under local laws in addition to the ones companies provide as part of the terms of sale. Your state or country may have 'fitness for purpose' & laws that govern how physical defects should be handled in products. If you are sure it is not your fault you should have the option to escalate the issue.
