Ever since I upgraded my iPad mini with retina display to iOS 8 iPhoto says it isn't compatible with iOS 8. When will it be compatible? I and many of my friends and family members have been waiting. We don't have macs, just iPads and iphone 5's and up, but we all love iPhoto and just want it back. Any idea when it will work again? Any ideas help, thanks!

It looks like you won't be able to get it, on this support page Migrating from iPhoto for iOS to Photos on iOS 8 , it says that iPhoto isn't compatible with iOS 8, it then shows how you can import your photos over to the Photos app. Apple has said that they would do away with iPhoto, and its replacement would be the Photos app where you can use those editing tools and third party extensions
So when they do away with iPhoto the other photo apps, like pixelmator, aare all going to cost $5? That's a bummer. I liked iPhoto and so did a lot of people I know. But thanks for the help 🙂
Apple is continuing to develop the Photos app on the mobile devices so be sure to tell Apple what features you want included via http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto_ios.html and http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html. Remember the squeaky wheel gets the grease.
