Q: Updated to Yosemite now I get a circle with a line through it at startup
I Updated to Yosemite last night, and it was working fine... This morning when I booted up the computer, I get a normal startup tone with the apple, only with a progress bar underneath. after a minute, the bar stalls and it turns into a circle with a line through it And won't go any farther. I did back the system up with Time Machine before installing. what should I do?
MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10)

Try reinstalling OS X using Recovery.
Restart and when you hear the tone, press and hold cmd-R. It should boot into Recovery and there will be a button to Reinstall the OS.
The circle with a slash means that it couldn’t find the necessary startup files.
